Amazing golden jewelry from Colchis kingdom, Tbilisi, Georgia

On a rainy day in Tbilisi, we decided to visit the National Museum. Usually I kind of get bored in museums, however this one has caught my attention, as it was hosting an impressive collection of golden jewelries from the ancient kingdom of Colchis (known also as Iberia) which dated from the centuries 3-4th B.C. to 3-4th AD.

As a woman, I was surely surprised to see that many of the models could easily be part of any 2012 collection.

Wikipedia: In ancient geography, Colchis or Kolkhis was an ancient Georgian state kingdom and region in Western Georgia, which played an important role in the ethnic and cultural formation of the Georgian nation.
The Kingdom of Colchis contributed significantly to the development of medieval Georgian statehood after its unification with the eastern Georgian Kingdom of Iberia.

More pictures and less talking.
