Japan 4 – Todai-ji/東大寺, Nara

Tōdai-ji (東大寺) is one of the biggest wooden Buddhist temples in the world and it has the world’s largest bronze statue of the Buddha Vairocana, known in Japanese simply as Daibutsu.

The statue weighs 500 tonnes
